How do I participate?
You can choose to present a topic as a speaker; critique or engage with the speaker as a member of the student panel; or just learn from the session sitting in the audience.
Student panel consists of a group of fellows interested in the topic that the speaker is presenting. (Thus, the student panel is different for every session). Anyone can volunteer to be in the student panel. The student panel is expected to read the material sent by the speaker and attend a 'pre-session student panel meeting'. He/She is encouraged to do independent groundwork on the session.
What would be my part in the session?
The entire student panel would be given 10-15 minutes to express their opinions, views and critique the speaker's ideas. The aim is to engage in an informed discussion about the topic and develop the idea through multi disciplinary perspectives.
How do I register to be a panelist?
Call for student panelists would be anounced before every presentation.

Can I not ask questions if I am sitting in the audience?
Although there would be a 5-7 min open house in which the audience will be allowed to question the speaker, we would highly encourage you to volunteer as a student panelist if you are inquisitive about the topic.
No. But we would expect the participants (speakers, student panel or the audience) to keep in mind some thumb rules to facilitate the discussions
To allow for the speaker to speak during the presentation and put forth the question only when the thought or idea is completely articulated- The speaker is at liberty to decide at what point in time to be questioned during the presentation
- To ensure that no two speakers are speaking simultaneously, thus when one begins the other waits for his/her turn.
